Chavez back on DL

July 2nd, 2008

Looks like that shoulder problem he had surgery for hasn’t been fixed and is causing him a problem forcing him on the 15 DL today. You can read about it here. Lets hope they can fix it this time and put this behind him for good.

No Trades

August 1st, 2007

Well the tradeline is over with and no one was traded before the deadline. However, outfielder Bobby Kielty was released. He only had a .200 batting average for 13 games this season, due to his long stint on the DL. I think because the A’s are not in close contention on the [...]

It seems like the prognosis for the rest of this season for Harden doesn’t look too bright to me, since these symptoms are a flareup from his earlier time on the DL. With the A’s losing record they really don’t have a lot of time left in the season to be able to [...]

Yes, Thomas is back in Oakland…. to play as a Blue Jay of course! A’s were in lead 2-1 until the 3rd inning when Frank Thomas came in and hit a grounder to score a runner from scoring position to tie the game. This seemed to be a catalyst and turned [...]

Oakland Athletics won 6-0 against the Giants at AT&T ballpark. The second time Zito faces his old team he pitches poorly. Bonds who wasn’t supposed to be in the game was only among 2 players to get at least one hit with Harren’s shutout. A’s now lead series [...]

One of the best games the Oakland Athletics have had this year last night at McCafee Park in Oakland.
In the 9th Inning the game was tied 4-4 with the bases loaded. With a strike out and a risky double play involving home plate the A’s were able to get out of it.
In the 10th [...]

Two time CY-Young winner Santana couldn’t stop the Minnesota Twins from making a fielding error in an inning that in the end led to the A’s scoring 3 runs. Athletics won the game at McCafee stadium 4 to 2. A’s win the series against Minnesota Twins 2-1.
Next game is 7:05 pacific [...]

Oakland Athletics created a 5 run lead early in the game by the 3rd inning. In the 8th the Rangers made their presence known when they loaded up the bases on zero outs. A couple runs scored making the game 5-3 with bases loaded. Sammy Sosa had the day [...]

This week Milton Bradley (15 day DL), justin Duchscherer (15 DL), and Mark Kotsay (60 day DL) are due to be off the list this week. This is great news as the Oakland Athletics have suffered an enormous amount of players on the DL (19 out of 40).
Hopefully this trend will continue until [...]
