No Trades

August 1st, 2007

Well the tradeline is over with and no one was traded before the deadline. However, outfielder Bobby Kielty was released. He only had a .200 batting average for 13 games this season, due to his long stint on the DL. I think because the A’s are not in close contention on the trade deadline, they decided to not go through with trades. I’m glad Mike Piazza is still on the team and that the rumours of his upcoming trade weren’t true.

Kielty was a good player for certain reasons, but the A’s are strong in so many areas it won’t be too much of a loss! We can expect a lot from Haren this year also, he’s going under ALOT of recuperation.
