Yes, Thomas is back in Oakland…. to play as a Blue Jay of course! A’s were in lead 2-1 until the 3rd inning when Frank Thomas came in and hit a grounder to score a runner from scoring position to tie the game. This seemed to be a catalyst and turned the inning into a multipe-run inning.
Denardo was kicked out of the game after 3rd inning one out. The A’s had a couple times where it looked like they were going to come back, but the Blue Jays kept on tacking more runs in. A’s lost 11 to 7.
I’m sure a lot of fans are wondering if Thomas had been in the A’s uniform if they would have lost this game. Well it was mostly bad pitching from denardo, but it did seem like Thomas got the ball rolling with the game tying hit.
